KRIS ALLEN is an American singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas, and the winner of the eighth season of American Idol. His hits include “No Boundaries” and his acoustic version of Kanye West’s “Heartless.”
- His current single, “The Truth,” features vocals by Train lead singer Pat Monahan.
- As assistant music director at a non-denominational church in Arkansas, Allen has participated in missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain, and Thailand.
- Allen almost didn’t make the American Idol cut, and only won because of a private sing-off between himself and another candidate.
