THE BODEANS are a rock and roll and roots rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1983, who had several rock hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including “Closer To Free,” the theme to the Fox drama, “Party Of Five.”

  • Their first album, “Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams” was produced by Academy Award-winning songwriter T-Bone Burnett.
  • In January 1987, a Rolling Stone reader poll voted them Best New American Band.
  • The BoDeans’ 9th studio album, titled Mr. Sad Clown, was released in April, 2010.
