Formerly of the English Soul/R&B duo Floetry MARSHA AMBROSIUS is a singer/ songwriter who has worked with The Game, Busta Rhymes, and Jamie Foxx. Her debut solo album Late Nights & Early Mornings was released earlier this year.
Floetry began after Ambrosius joined former school mate Natalie Stewart on stage for a combined poetry/spoken word night. The duo then toured the United States poetry circuit to rave reviews. In 2002 they signed to DreamWorks Records and released Floetic.
Ambrosius was signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment after working with Styles P, The Game and Nas. In 2009, she parted ways with the label to pursue her song-writing and production career and worked with Alicia Keys, Mario and Fabolous among others. She released Late Nights & Early Mornings in March 2011 featuring the single “Hope She Cheats on You (With a Basketball Player)” which peaked at 22 on the Billboard music charts.
