K’Jon
R&B / Soul
R&B singer/songwriter K’JON got his big break when his “Miami” was featured on the 2Fast2Furious soundtrack. Although he had been singing in his native Detroit since he was eight years old, he became an “overnight success” and was offered opening gigs for Ne-Yo and Raheem DeVaughn. He released his albums independently and, in 2008, he recorded “Ballroom Xplosion” featuring “On the Ocean,” which reached #1 and brought the album to the top of several independent charts.
In 2009, K’Jon signed with Universal Republic Records and prepared his major label debut album “I Get Around”. The album was very warmly received. K’JON, who counts Anthony Hamilton, Jazmine Sullivan and John Mayer among his own favorites, is poised to take his place in the canon of legendary R&B singers and songwriters.
