ALEX BAND is best known as the lead singer of The Calling, a band which had a huge hit in 2001 with “Wherever You Will Go” which peaked at No. 3. Band also had a top 10 hit in 2003 by singing lead on the Santana song, “Why Don’t You And I,” which was written by Nickelback leader Chad Kroeger. His influences include by Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, Live, Train and U2.

  • Alex’s Dad is horror film director Charles Band, best known for the “Puppet Master” series.
  • Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger personally recommended him to Carlos Santana to sing the hit “Why Don’t You And I.”
  • Alex is a big supporter of organ donation and asks that his fans donate organs rather than send him birthday gifts.
