Jazz Fusion Guitarist
Jazz fusion guitarist and pianist STANLEY JORDAN is best known for his development of the tapping technique for the guitar. While earning a digital music composition degree from Princeton in 1981, he studied under computer-music composers Paul Lansky and Milton Babbitt.
Jordan began playing music at the age of six and played in rock and soul bands in his teenage years. After graduating for Princeton, he performed in many jazz festivals. He has also played with Benny Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, Michael Urbaniak and Richie Cole.
