The Barr Brothers
Folk Rock
DOORS OPEN 6:30PM!
Indie folk outfit The Barr Brothers make earthy folk full of harmonies and floating melodies. In 1983, Brad and Andrew Barr discovered rock n roll and starting emulating the songs they heard on makeshift instruments. They played their father’s records – letting the classic rock seep into their musical consciousness. In the 1990s, they started a rock trio – The Slip and toured North America.
While living in Montreal, the brothers developed a friendship with classically trained harpist Sarah Page. The brothers and Page began performing around town and were soon joined by Andres Vial who plays keyboards, bass and percussion in the outfit. The Barr Brothers were born.

“Their tremendous talents shine through in this album and capture an Americana folk that keeps up with today’s demands for a fresh sound.” – Andre Guerette, Paste Magazine on the Barr Borthers self titled album
