Interview with Griffin House
GRIFFIN HOUSE is one of Nashville’s biggest treasures. Born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, House was introduced to music when he landed a role in his high school musical. He was surprised to learn that he had a natural ability to sing, and soon enough bought his first guitar, left behind a golf scholarship to Ohio University, and went to Miami University to teach himself how to play the guitar and sing.
House’s first release was an independent record titled “Upland”. The album garnered attention from Nettwerk, and house partnered with the label’s American branch to issue his album “Lost & Found” in 2004.
Several self-released albums have since followed, and in 2010, House released his 8th studio album, “The Learner”. He has toured extensively as both a headliner and opening act for acts like John Mellencamp, Matt Kearney, and The Cranberries.
