Singer / Songwriter
HOWIE DAY’s music sounds like so much more than the normal singer/songwriter fare; his extensive use of pedals and effects when touring creates a larger than life sound, gives the audience the illusion that there’s more on stage than just a man with a guitar.
Howie Day’s musical life started at the age of six. His mother overheard him playing back advertising jingles on the piano from memory and enrolled him in piano classes. At the age of 13 he started to find himself more interested in guitar and rock, and he took up the guitar and started taking vocal lessons. He started performing at 15 and hasn’t looked back since, almost dropping out of high school due to his extensive touring schedule. His album Stop All The World Now went gold in 2005, with his single “Collide” going platinum with over 1.5 million downloads. His latest album, Ceasefire, was released June 29th of 2011.
