Kevyn Lettau CD Release
Brazilian Jazz Vocalist
Brazilian jazz vocalist Kevyn Lettau is known for her ability to blend different popular song elements into the jazz idiom. Lettau was discovered in 1984 when Brazilian pianist and bandleader Sergio Mendes saw her perform.
Lettau grew up in Berlin before moving to San Diego at age 14. By 17 she was working with guitarist Peter Sprague singing around town. The duo recorded two albums together to critical acclaim and Lettau began touring in the Phillipines and Japan.
In 1992 Lettau signed to JVC Music and recorded four albums before joining Universal. In 2008 Lettau released What is Enough with Spague – an acoustic album featuring Brazilian samba and jazz swing vocals. She is currently working on her upcoming release. Don’t miss her at Anthology!
