Anthology

THE MILK CARTON KIDS, a harmonizing, minimalist duo, use two guitars and two sets of vocals to create their infectious indie rock. Kenneth Pattengale & Joey Ryan have both enjoyed success with their respective solo careers, but their audiences have only grown now that they’ve come together as The Milk Carton Kids. Their songs are written together and, although they’ve only been a band for one year, their musical chemistry is palpable. They stand close together when they play, facing each other and using microphones instead of plugging their guitars in. And if they looked more alike you’d think that they were brothers.

As solo artists, they have 10 albums between them. As the Milk Carton Kids, they have opened for Vienna Teng and Sara Bareilles, and their first album together, RETROSPECT, dropped earlier this year to rave reviews under their names.

The first official release of The Milk Carton Kids, entitled PROLOGUE, is comprised of original songs written by the duo for this project. It is slated for release later this year on their own Milk Carton Records.
