David Lindley
Eclectic String Musician
DAVID LINDLEY is best known for his years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne. With his own band El Rayo-X, Lindley effortlessly combines folk, blues and bluegrass with world music.
As a teenager, Lindley took up banjo and began exploring the American folk tradition. In 1971, Lindley joined forced with Jackson Browne. During this time he also worked as a studio musician and contributed to the music of such diverse acts as Dolly Parton and Curtis Mayfield.
Lindley joined Jackson Browne for a tour of Spain in 2006 and, in 2010, a two CD recording of the tour Love is Strange was released. Lindley is also known for his incredible collection of rare instruments.
