JOYCE COOLING is a San Francisco-area contemporary jazz guitarist, singer and songwriter, who is known for her unique style of fingerpicking that she developed herself. She has won numerous jazz awards.
- Cooling has played with Al Jarreau, Lee Ritenour, Joe Henderson, Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd.
- Cooling’s work is often sampled as background music for the Local on the 8s on The Weather Channel, and is featured on their first compilation album, The Weather Channel Presents: The Best of Smooth Jazz.
- Cooling is a national advocate for NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and has performed at the NAMI National and regional events all across the country.
