Edwin McCain with David Ryan Harris

Alternative Rock

Edwin McCain, dubbed the “great American romantic” by the New York Times, always dreamed of a life on the road playing music.

McCain grew up in South Carolina and, with the help of fellow Carolinians Hootie and the Blowfish, McCain signed to Atlantic Records. His dream of touring came true with 300+ days touring per year supporting the likes of Jewel, the Allman Brothers and Hootie.

His soulful alternative rock love songs have become de rigueur at weddings – even earning his “I’ll Be” top spot on Dr. Phil’s all time best wedding songs.

In 1995, his first record “Honor Among Thieves” was released followed by “Misguided Roses” which spawned “I’ll Be” in 1998. “I’ll Be” was also featured in Disney’s “A Cinderella Story”.

Following 2005’s Hurricane Katrina, McCain released “Hold Out a Hand” with Maia Sharp. All proceeds from the song went to the relief of hurricane victims. His most recent album of original material “Lost in America” was released in 2006.

McCain has released 11 albums and is always working on new material.
